What is Baccarat?
When you think of baccarat, do you often
think of rich, swanky, classy types, with European accents, in
a posh casino? You know the James Bond types; not just the boy
next door types? Well, just about anyone can play baccarat – and
its easy to learn!
Truth is, though, the boy next door is just as likely to play
as any suave European heir. Baccarat is a game that is available
in a great number of American casinos, as well as in casinos all
over the rest of the world, and it is popular in places like Monte
Carlo! And now, with the popularity of Internet casinos, it has
become almost as available online as poker, blackjack or slots.
Additionally, baccarat is one of the easiest games to play!
In the beginning, you decide if you’re betting on the banker
or player, and then you choose the amount of your bet…that’s
it, in a nutshell, easy to understand.
Baccarat is one of the best games out there for playing online.
After all, the only thing you’re required to do as a participant
is bet on one of two hands that are dealt virtual table, to the
player or the banker. The winning hand is that which comes the
closest to scoring 9.
The perfect hand, the hand you’re praying for, is the
one that has a total of nine within its first two cards. Eight
is the second-best hand and, along with the nine, it constitutes
the two "natural" hands. The only hand that will beat
a natural eight is a natural nine. If any player hand or the Bank
has a natural eight or nine, the others may not draw a third card.
In a tie, bets are called off.
More than that, your odds are good! The house edge in baccarat
is very low; in fact, when you bet on the player, you’re
at about 1.36%, as opposed to betting on the banker where your
odds are in around 1.17%. Not much of a difference, and can be
compared to betting on the red or the black in roulette, or the “pass” or “don’t
pass ” in craps. |
